Breakfast Bites – You know the drill by now. P.S., I love breakfast for dinner!

Ahhh, here is what the last 3.5 seasons have been about – Dexter getting it wrong. He followed the circumstantial evidence much too easily and now, an innocent man is dead. Possibly. Harry’s face at the end of that episode was so tragic. These last few weeks have been going so slowly. As a friend of mine pointed out, Rita has turned into something of a shrew, which is making it so hard to like her. I mean, we don’t naturally think about the life that Dexter is leading and how it looks from the outside when you don’t know about, well, the killing. But the hours it takes to set up the kill room.
I still find Dexter fascinating. I’m sure there are several papers that can be written about the draw of this show, maybe even already written. This episode was basically shrouded in mystery. Why isn’t Dexter killing Trinity? Why does he go after the photographer instead? Why is it so important to him? Yeah, this episode brought up a lot of questions. What do you think, or have you given up on Dexter for some reason?

I agree, I don’t like Rita very much. I never really did. She was supposed to be a cover. I don’t love that the show has turned this way, but I see why they did it. The time issue is great. It is opposite/same as it was with Doakes. Doakes knew (kind of) what he was dealing with and stalked him. This family thing that he has gotten himself into is his proverbial “ball-and-chain”, they don’t know what they are dealing with but he still feels stalked and restrained.
He has been holding on to Trinity as a lifeline. This is the first killer he has met that seems to have found a way to have a family. He wants to put off killing him to learn his secrets.
“we don’t naturally think about the life that Dexter is leading and how it looks from the outside when you don’t know about, well, the killing”… you didn’t write that one with me in mind… ;^)>
I am really enjoying this blog this morning.

No, I didn’t write that line with you in mind
I’m glad you’re enjoying the blog. NaNoWriMo is slowing me down a bit (writing instead of watching television) plus I had articles due this week, so any extra writing time went to that instead of the site. Thanks for reading, as always!
